Unusually warm weather has snow melting quickly here at the ranch. I wanted to thank Kris and Nell G, Mike W, Geoff F. for helping remove the large aspen tree that fell across the road during the last high wind storm (a few weeks ago) – it was near the hairpin and completely blocked the road, so thanks to their quick work we didn’t have much disruption! Also thanks Kris, John O. and road crew (Cordovas) for keeping things under control this winter. We did have a good amount of snow in Dec/Jan/Feb and the roads were sometimes a challenge especially with the wind – thank you guys!
Along with tax day coming (April 15) I wanted to post an early reminder for sending in water meter readings – we had a few missing from last fall. Thanks to everyone who posted the readings, certainly helping keep our subdivision in compliance with the state water commissioners.
I hope everyone is enjoying our nice weather and beautiful place in the mountains! We haven’t had a board meeting in a while but will post dates and info for our next meeting.

Hi members, here is an update from our Road Committee:
This week we completed the fall road grading, with the work focusing on the main access road, Mountain View Drive.
We were unable to purchase any acceptable road base, the ACA material is not working, and we tried an experiment using 2 loads of crushed, recycled concrete between the cattle guards.
The roads are constructed and maintained for 20 mph traffic and will continue to experience accelerated wash-boarding if our traffic exceeds the posted 20 mph speed limit. So when you are driving please look at the speed you are driving so we can all drive on a smoother road surface.

Hello neighbors, we’ve been enjoying some beautiful fall colors and it is already time for our fall water meter readings! Please go to the “Water Meters” tab here water meters and enter your reading on or around Oct 15th. Thanks to all of you who entered your reading when leaving after the summer season.

Thanks to everyone for a smooth annual meeting. We covered plenty of topics in some detail but kept to a reasonable time. And again extra thanks to Judy P. for hosting the picnic! New board members are Sam C. and Kris G., thanks to both for participating (and thanks to Dan for agreeing to run for a 2nd term).
Planning to have a board meeting with the new board on Aug 27th, 9am at Dan’s home. Agenda will be: review of annual meeting, update on insurance, update on water measurement system and costs, roadwork and upcoming plan for snow plowing.

Reminder that our annual meeting is scheduled for July 23, 2016 at 1:00PM at the Sangre De Cristo community meeting room (with picnic to follow, resident Judy P. has graciously offered to host, thanks Judy!). We have 3 board members with 3-year terms expiring. One of the members will run again, so we need at least 2 new board members to fill the 5 member board of directors. Please let us know if you are interested.

We are also planning to have a board meeting June 20, 7pm, location in the neighborhood at OBrien or Dunn house.
